"I believe in nationalism as the absolute prerequisite to
internationalism. I believe in patriotism as the absolute prerequisite to
the larger Americanism. I believe in Americanism because unless our people
are good Americans first, America can accomplish little or nothing worth
accomplishing for the good of the world as a whole."
--Theodore Roosevelt

OSIA Motorcycle Group
|
Brother Gary Gennetta is coordinating the
formation of the area chapter Motorcycle Group in accordance with the
Primary Chapter's Rules of Operation. Lodges #2702, #2738, #2826 and
#1309 are invited to attend.
An initial meeting will be held at 7pm on the 4th Thursday of the month,
February 22, 2007 at the OSIA Lodge # 2738 hall.
We will discuss the rules and membership requirements at that time. A new
chapter will require a minimum of 7 members. To join the group, one must be
an active member of the Lodge, 21 years of age, own a motorcycle and show
proof of insurance with a valid drivers license. There is a one time,
non-refundable, fee of $100 for the cost of one full set of colors. After
paying the fee, each member will be issued one set of flags as a "Probation"
patch to be attached to a vest of their choosing. Probationary Members (PMs)
shall be brought up for induction as an Active Member (AM) after 6 months.
During this 6 month period a PM must attend each monthly meeting and each
scheduled ride. Upon being accepted as a full AM, the top and bottom rockers
shall be issued. AMs are expected to attend at least 3 meetings and 3
scheduled rides per year to maintain active membership.
The purpose of this motorcycle group is to foster a brother/sisterhood
dedicated to the sport of motorcycle riding and the support for the individual
lodge for which it is associated. Members are expected to treat each other
and the community in such a manner as to credit and honor the reputation of
the Motorcycle Group and its Lodge!

“Festa Italiana”
Plans are being made to hold a festival again this summer. Please
contact Anthony Cortese, Kurt Madic, or Biff Gettel if you would like to
help. This will take a lot of help from the general membership to make
this a first class event!
